Headcold Blues

by Violet Blue on August 3, 2005

This is the worst summer cold, ever. But here’s a bright side:

I talk about Open Source Sex on BBC Radio (about 40 minues in). I recorded the questions amd answers in New York on Saturday night into Garageband on my laptop, converted and emailed the files to BBC, and went out for the night! The one question I was asked but they omitted was whether I’m podcasting for money or for fun (or both), and the answer is — fun! I make no money from podcasting (in fact I pay my podcast host for the file storage and traffic). From the positive and funny feedback I’ve gotten from listeners, it’s worth every penny.

I’m also mentioned in Macworld UK, “Big media brands seize Apple’s podcast charts”, Cnet (News.com) “Porn purveyors push prurient podcasts”, and the Fort Worth Star Telegram in “Sexpod?”.

I also just found out that I’m taking over Fleshbot starting this friday, for a whole week! And great news — it’s now official that I’m the Assistant Editor on the masthead. I better rest up if I’m going to find more Star Wars fetish, amateur bisexual porn and hardcore sex blogs…
