aphrodisiacs
Whether you want to really learn about aphrodisiacs -- where they come from, and how they work -- or you're intersted in cooking up a sexy dinner, these books are terrific resources. I especially adore the sexy cocktails books and have had a lot of fun trying the recipes on friends, lovers, and potential lovers... you know, Violet's Reserach Labs.
Seduction and Spice: 130 Recipes for Romance Sodamin
It's pretty much what the title implies -- lots of aphrodisiac appetizers, snacks and full meals intended for use as sexy aphrodisiac dishes. It's in a pretty red velvet package so it makes a nice gift, and for cooks it's more of a compendium for ideas about making your own meals. Not too much for vegetarians, but us veggies are used to it and can improvise nicely, thanks.
Intercourses: An Aphrodisiac Cookbook Hopkins + Lockridge
Now here's a really beautiful sex-themed food book -- lots of sexy photos with food and a variety of recipes to choose from, all using aphrodisiac ingredients. Like Seduction and Spice, it's a great resource of recipes for ideas and excellent for planning out evenings full of sensual feats of all kinds -- especially oral.
Love Potions: Romantic Drinks for Two Buenfeld
Bravo for this little book full of cocktails made with aphrodisiac ingredients; so many times I've wanted to invite someone up for a nightcap and had little more than beer to offer. This book made me want to stock up on a few essentials to make the next nightcap invite quite a bit sexier. It's in my seduction aresenal.
Sexy City Cocktails Bykofsky + Buckley
I had no idea you could make so many sexy cocktails with champagne until I got my hands on a copy of this book; I've even used it as a guide when planning parties at my house that I wanted to be a bit sexier than usual with drinks that were just downright flirty. Plus, it's got a healthy dose of drinks for times other than the cocktail hour and a host of options for non-drinkers.
Love Potions: A Guide to Aphrodisiacs and Sexual Pleasures Watson + Hynes
This is the hand-down hardcore guide to aphrodisiacs, detailing everything from chocolate to damiana and beyond; the lore and reputations, facts, physical and psychological effects, where to find them and how to use them. Find out for yourself if aphrodisiacs work for what you want them to, safely; also learn the basics around the world of aphrodisiac essentials and carry the knowledge into your other culinary pursuits.
The Viagra Alternative Bonnard
This is a really interesting book, in that it isn't trying to get you *not* to try Viagra, but that it offers up a whole bunch of other things to try for erectile difficulty and just plain old recreational fun with making a hard penis a bit harder, for longer. Lots of information and recommendations on herbal Viagras and how to use them, and more. A little old and dry, but still fascinating.
